by: HappyMany LSU sororities are attending their national conventions this summer and coming home with major awards. This shows that all sororities at LSU are great and are among the top chapters of their national organizations. Looking at facebook posts, I have seen that Phi Mu, DG, DDD and ZTA have been honored this summer. I would love for folks from these groups to post what they won so we can all congratulate them. To this year's PNMs, know that these "tier charts" are bull, almost every group at LSU is amazing and you would be lucky to become a part of the LSU greek system.

We could not be more proud of Delta Omega! Last night at convention we were awarded 2nd runner up for Health & Safety, 2nd runner up for our Alumnae Advisory Team, Top Donating Chapter for the Delta Delta Delta Foundation, and the Haller award! It would not have been possible without the hard work of every one of our Delta Omega sisters!

Congratulations to all members, past and present, for their hard work and contribution to the Gamma Zeta Chapter winning the two highest awards given out to collegiate chapters at the Delta Gamma International Convention and two regional awards earlier this week.
The Outstanding Chapter Award is the highest award given by Delta Gamma for recognition excellence in every area of chapter life.
The Founders Award recognizes a collegiate chapter that reaches levels of excellence in meeting the objectives in Article II of the Fraternity's Constitution: to foster high ideals of friendship among college women; to promote their educational and cultural interests; to create in them a true sense of social responsibility; and to develop in them the best qualities of character.
In addition, Gamma Zeta was awarded the Patricia Peterson Danielson Award that recognizes collegiate chapters that demonstrate a level of excellence in all areas of chapter operations and programming.
On the Regional level, Gamma Zeta was awarded the Excellence in Philanthropy: Fundraising Award for donating the most money to the Delta Gamma Foundation and the Award of Excellence for the most outstanding chapter in the region.

At Delta Zeta National Convention, our chapter was awarded some of the highest awards given. Sigma received the Crest Award, a prestigious award that acknowledges the top 10 Delta Zeta chapters in the country. We also received the Excellence Award for the most dollars raised by a single philanthropic event and we were recognized for Outstanding New Member Programming. Along with these two awards, the sigma chapter also received honorable mention for Greek Leadership, Most Hours Volunteered for New Members and Formal Recruitment.

part I agree with you, the leaders of the groups work very well together. There are just a few mean and hateful greeks that get on this site and others that want to make themselves feel superior to others, but I think that is a very small group.

I am not a DG, I was actually just trying to say nice things about my friends in other groups who had been posting about their awards at their conventions because I am proud of their accomplishments. My group hasn't had their convention yet but I hope we come home with as many awards as those who have already had their conventions. Why do you have to be so negative? By tearing down other groups you are not helping your group. The greek system is only strong if we pull together and help one another. There are so many outside of the greek system trying to hurt us, why would any greek try to hurt another group.
