black people in sorority

by: brown v the board of phc

I am interested in rushing but I am black. I know that as a whole many sororities have been becoming more progressive, but LSU is a PWI in Southern Louisiana. Yes, I know that the NPHC exists which is def an option. I was just wondering if I would likely be uncomfortable and a victim of microaggressions/other forms of racism. I just don't want to be the token poc. Is it even worth it :/

If you are worried about micro aggressions and racism, then you will probably find it. However, if you go in with an open mind, a willing heart, and a positive attitude, you may just find a home.
