How does quota work?
by: Confused??Does every house on campus have the same quota? Why do some people say certain houses can't take as many people? Since there are so many girls going thru rush this year, wouldn't that raise the number of girls that houses can take?

it’s entirely a numbers game. Houses can only take as many girls as the university will allow based on how large their chapter is, how many women are expected to graduate, how many women have disaffiliated (left the sisterhood), etc. There’s so much math that goes into the algorithm, the computer really does it all.
The good news is, since there is so much that goes into it, you absolutely do not need to worry about it because there’s nothing anyone (active, pnm, even staff member) can do about it. It’s best to just make your choices based on where you feel most comfortable because you will never learn to play, beat, work with, or work around the algorithm. Once you’re in a house, you’ll see what I mean.

Quota is the number of PNMs who sign MRABAs divided by the number of sororities on campus. If 100 girls sign MRABAs and there are 5 houses, quota will be 20.
