The Big 7 Fraternities

Listen up PNMs, here's the gospel.

When going into rush in the fall there are 7 fraternities you should concentrate on. Pick any one of these and you're going to have a great college experience. With that said, there are some differences between each and I'll explain.

KA, Kappa Sig, PIKE, FIJI, Sigma Nu, TKE & Theta Xi


Did you go to a Private School in the south and want to stay in that type of bubble? Pick KA

Are you from Baton Rouge or somewhere else in Louisiana and come from money? Pick Kappa Sig

Are you from Baton Rouge or elsewhere in Louisiana but didn't want to join Kappa Sig for whatever reason? Pick TKE or Theta XI

Are you from out of state or from Louisiana and don't care about where the guys are from, you just want to have a fun time in college? Pick PIKE, FIJI or Sigma NU

Now, what about the other chapters? I'm getting to them, be patient. I just wanted to highlight the big 7 that I think are going to be on most people's radar. Also, just because you don't join a big 7 doesn't mean you won't have a fun and fulfilling time in college

Are you smart? Pick Sig Ep

Do you want to join a hunting club? Pick AGR

Do you want to be more involved in the community? Pick Sigma Chi

Are you from New Orleans and solely exist to party? Pick Acacia

Do you want a smaller chapter size that focuses on brotherhood? Pick ATO or Delta Chi

Do you want to try building up a fraternity? Pick Beta or Theta Chi


Treat this as a guide, of course every chapter is going to have all sorts of interesting and unique characters so keep that in mind. Ultimately, you should go where you feel the most comfortable.
