everyone knows which houses are top and everyone self ranks and does bs so this is what I think the type of girl in each house is like. there are diff girls in every house but this is what they go for during rush.
Alpha Phi - very attractive girls, think Instagram baddie, has a rep for taking girls who get cut from other houses but is still popular
ADPi - 50/50, some really involved oos girls who got cut from other houses, and some in state girls who like to party a lot/nursing majors
Chi O - honeslty just legacies and girls actives are friends with, reputation is for being smart but most girls just seem to be very wealthy
Tri Delt - same as chi o with mostly taking legacies and friends of actives, lots of pretty girls who all know each other from summer camp, well liked by most ppl especially frats
DG - girls who really care about involvement and sisterhood, not big into partying, some crazy oos girls, religious girls and into academics
DZ - seems pretty girly but not as girly as phi mu, mostly Baton Rouge and New Orleans girls who like to party
KD - very popular, girls who go KD all know each other so they have a rep for being super cliquey, well liked by frats
Kappa - wealthy out of state girls and girls who like to party, lot of nola girls, some of the Tom boy type
Pi phi - the “not sorority” type of girls but they still love their sisterhood, lots of super cute and involved out of state girls go here, artsy and indie girls but also some very pretty girls too
Phi mu - pageant girl type, very girly, well liked by most people but not known for partying, lots of pretty Baton Rouge and Lafayette girls
Theta - unfortunately the one house that struggles to keep girls bc of their reputation, all the thetas I know are very sweet, theta has issues with their exec and can’t keep their girls
ZTA - very girly, 50/50 with oos vs in state girls like adpi, lots of oos girls go here bc zta is popular at bama and other big schools, in state girls who are zeta usually are really into academics and are religious, oos likes to party

Theta does NOT have a “reputation”. Theta is like every other sorority at LSU. They have a nice house, sweet smart girls who are involved on campus, and they are liked by everyone who actually knows them personally in real life (not on social media). The only difference is that OTHER sororities BULLY them for no reason at all. NONE other than the need to beat down others to make themselves feel superior or better. And the bs is spread through the grapevine so pnms hear it and repeat it, and the nastiness and lies continue over and over. It’s awful and it goes against everything sororities claim to stand for - sisterhood!! Where’s the panhellenic love?

I’ve wondered for a few years now why people say Kd is the top house when I think they’re great but no different than the rest of us. Especially since I know so many girls in all the houses, there’s nothing that makes Kd girls any different from the rest of us. There are “top tier” GIRLS in all the sororities.

the sad truth is theta does have a bad rep and many girls who go theta talk poorly on the sorority. i know a bunch of girls who went theta and most of them have dropped. the sisterhood really ain’t there

This is so well said and I think it goes both ways. People in general just repeat what they hear assuming it’s correct when it’s actually not. whether it’s claiming that a certain srat is a “top” house or stating that another srat is a mid or bottom house when honestly they’re all the same.
