letters of recommendation

i'm rushing in the fall and i don't know anyone who was involved in greek life here, how important are letter of rec when it comes to getting a bid or being taken seriously during recruitment?

also can actives at other schools write letters of rec for you or do they need to be alumni?

i would definitely try to get letters of rec for each sorority but it’s not necessary. letters can’t be from actives they have to be from alums- can be alums from different schools tho
