If people don't want you to be around as you are, don't waste your time trying to change for them. They aren't your friends if you have to do that

that's awful advice for someone rushing. i can guarantee that your sorority holds a standard just like all the others. in life, you have to please the man. always. and for rushees, the sororities are "the man".
