Is rushing worth it?
by: lsu2026I'm coming to LSU this fall as a freshman, and I am trying to decide if I want to rush. I am out of state and have no connections to any sororities. Since the odds are I'm probably not going to get my top sorority, I'm wondering if going through rush is even worth it. How exclusive is greek life? will it be weird if I am not in one? will I miss out on parties or is greek life not that prominent?

as someone in a sorority, i would definitely say that rushing is 100% worth it. ik there are a lot of tiktok’s going around about toxic greek life, but i haven’t really seen or heard of that happening at lsu. honestly trust the process and go with the house you vibe with most. frat parties aren’t that exclusive to greek life, as long as you’re a girl you’re welcome lmao. worst case you can drop

How do you know your top sorority if you don’t rush? Please don’t say this site. Or IG. I say rush - no one says you have to accept a bid. You’ll meet lots of girls just going thru. When I rushed I thought every house at LSU had something to offer to any PNM. I am OOS and found my home. Good luck at LSU!
