KA yes if you're from the south. Kappa Sig yes if you're rich, Theta Xi absolutely, they take people from all over. SAE, PIKE, TKE, FIJI and AGR will take guys from all over too. SAE focuses on Nola guys and TKE is Baton Rouge, but they still have out of staters in the chapter. PIKE + FIJI focus on northerners and AGR will take anyone as long as they're country

You don’t need to be from a certain place or have a certain amount of money to rush a good frat. You have to be a half decent dude that can literally just sit down and have a conversation with somebody and not be awkward.

SigEp has abolished rush and pledging using the award winning Balanced Man Program. The BMP aligns perfectly with year-round recruitment. And it is simple to understand. Self-paced challenges allow for members to enter and exit challenges at their own pace. This also means there is never hazing. Let's say you are recruited in late January -- then you just join other members in the Sigma challenge who joined last semester and have already completed twelve of the eighteen Sigma Challenge meetings this semester. You join the rest of the members in the Sigma challenge for the remaining six meetings. If you have not attained Phi status by the end of the Spring semester, you can complete the challenge asynchronously using the game-changing Balanced Man Program App to unlock the Phi level and continue to make progress towards graduating with the rank of Brother Mentor.

SigEp’s undergraduates body took the historic step for our Fraternity when they themselves voted and passed a resolution to ban alcohol and other illicit substances from all SigEp chapter homes. The LSU chapter's delegates voted to adopt these policies at Conclave and then the brothers voted at a chapter meeting to adopt Substance Free Facility bylaws for the chapter's house.

SigEp stands out as a forward-thinking fraternity in all issues, including gender. SigEp has traditionally treated gender as binary, when we live in a world with increasing awareness that gender is not always binary. SigEp’s membership is currently restricted those persons who identify as male, but there is limited space in Greek communities across the country for non-binary individuals to engage.
SigEp is leading the way towards the future of Greek organizations in the United States as gender inclusive organizations. SigEp is convening a task force to explore removing any screening of gender from its membership criteria and this would also expand SigEp’s recruitment pool.
