i'm so confused
by: DudeWhy is everyone talking about alpha phi on here? I'm rushing in the fall and almost every other post is about them being good or bad? i'm confused on why they're always the topic of discussion? help fill me in!!

most of the comments are just people arguing about rank and i've only seen like two posts about them. prob bc they're newer and seem to be climbing in the ranks fast but it's always like this around rush because the middle tier sororities love to argue about who is better when literally no one cares at all.

If you’re a pnm you should definitely stay off this website. Nothing but lame girls putting girls down. You shouldn’t listen to the negative on this site. Go into the houses and form your OWN opinions. Not everyone is gonna like everyone. People have negative to say about every chapter and positives. You will never truly know what a chapter is like unless you are in it.

When there is a newer sorority on campus and they are trying to build numbers, their advisors tell the rush chairman to not make deep cuts. Therefore, they will take many risks on PNMs- grades, reputations, etc. then they get “that reputation “ on the row of “they are full of party girls.” It is what it is. I with alpha phi well! Just be honest-many of your members right now are the risky girls. Maybe executive needs to sit down and discuss acceptable behavior with its members. Some girls are coming off as super arrogant!

Pay attention to this pnms when you are rushing. Watch out for houses who look at you as a “risk”. There are plenty of “high up” chapters who take their sorority’s too seriously and chose girls that keep them on top. Go to a chapter that you feel comfortable in and who won’t condemn you for breathing the wrong way. You are not just a number, and I encourage you to NOT go to a chapter that makes you feel that way, because you will end up miserable and dropping like plenty of girls I know. Your sorority is supposed to be fun. Not feel like a boot camp. Best years of your life, don’t waste them at a artificial chapter.

I’m shallow, but you’re calling me dumb and shallow behind your phone screen? Do you even know what shallow means my girl? Sorry you’re unhappy with yourself. Drop your sorority while you’re at it so the girlies know what chapter is harboring the a s s e s. I recommend therapy for your issues

I honestly think there is a lot of talk about Aphi on here b/c Aphi is constantly on this site trying to establish itself as a solid mid tier sorority before rush. So...if someone is constantly commenting on posts with rankings they find acceptable and/or arguing the posts with ranks they don't find accetable...its going to invite conversation. Period. You want the Aphi hate to stop....get off this site and just let things happen they way they should happen during rush. Don't try to create an image on this site...work on polishing your image for rush and getting the girls who will boost your rankings. This goes for ALL sororities.

I don’t think it is APhi initiating it. I think it is chapters making posts trying to make them look bad before rush. “What kind of girl pledges APhi” and now this post. It’s bait. I do think APhis are on here trying to defend against hateful posts though. I get it - they love their sisterhood and some of the hateful stuff posted has really crossed the line and made all of us look petty when it’s likely just one or two girls in other houses with a grudge. Best to just ignore it all and don’t feed the trolls.

Alpha Phi is a solid mid tier so sorority. Doesn’t matter the order in that tier. They are solid mid tier. No to arguing that

I think you are being very belligerent towards Alpa Phi. I think the majority of everyone in college parties. It’s kind of like part of the experience. If you are in one of the Mormon, stick-in-the-mud chapters, who get initiated at a church or just don’t have many events exchanges because frats and the rest of society think you’re boring say that. I think you are taking greek life too seriously my girl. A sorority is literally just so you can make friends and a few connections here or there, and go to party events. You are acting like it has anything to offer besides friends, like if you go to a single party you should be condemned to h e l l. Take a chill pill or go drink a glass of wine. What do you think frats are for? To share the campus gospel and not party? Jesus Christ. If that’s how your sorority talks about girls who go out, THANK GOD I’m not in it.
