required to live in the house ?
by: greek questiondoes anyone know if it is mandatory to live in the house for 1 year ? i heard some houses do and some don’t, if so which ones require it ? asking before i sign up for rush .

most houses encourage it at least for a year (and some houses emphasize doing it specific years like sophomore or junior) but i don't think any house here has the capacity to hold an entire pledge class + exec not to mention older girls who just want to live here so i don't think its a true requirement anywhere

i know for sure there are a few chapters that make you sign an agreement saying you can be called to live in the house ( i would assume most have something of that nature in their bylaws but i can’t confirm that) but they usually fill up before it reaches that point. either way, living in house is such a fun experience that if you do get called it would be sooo worth it in the end.
