sorority?

by:

I'd love to participate in sorority recruitment, but there are a couple of things holding me back. Being in a top sorority is not important to me, I just want to be in a sorority where I fit in. A&M greek life seems more friendly and accepting than most other schools, am I correct to think that in reality there are no top/bottom houses at A&M and that they are all just personal preferences? Do other sororities/fraternities (as well as non greek students) judge you based on which sorority you belong to? Or is it just one big greek family?

A&M's student body is great. They are a school with an incredible amount of school spirit. With that being said, their greek life may be similar. In most schools, it isn't one big greek family and other greeks do judge you based on which you belong to. You can have friends in other sororities/ fraternities though.

A&M only cares about the corps.... so no one there cares about Greek life. That's why a normal chapter at UT, Baylor, TCU, ect. might have 300 girls while a chapter at aggy will have 150. Also none of the best kids in Texas go to aggy.... its a place that did not even allow women until 1978 and was founded as a farm school. Even now ag leadership is the number one major. Also, why are we talking about aggy on an LSU board?

Poster is a moron. Nothing but old wives tells. The corp is a great tradition, but all of the aggies I know could really care less. I do agree that discussing a&m on LSU board is silly but lets not bash a respected school for the hell of it.
