They tend to give preference to local girls especially from certain schools. Just be yourself, the right house will love you for you! Be authentic and show what great girls your state has to offer!

honestly you have no reason to worry. you’re going to get asked the same questions by every single house and it’ll continue until you reach pref. Being out of state is like a low hanging fruit for most of these girls and theyll ask it just because it gets the convo going. expect to get a lot of “why’d you pick LSU?” “Did you know anyone at LSU before you came?” Or “what’s it like in xyz state?” Etc. after the third house you’re not even going to think about it, it’s just going to spit out like muscle memory. Be honest and try to set yourself apart by expressing your interest and seeming engaged. Ask a lot of questions, show them your real personality, and you’ll find a place that you love in no time flat.

As for preference for local girls, I know girls in every chapter from out of state who did not know a single soul before they set foot on campus. It actually helps you because they don’t have all of the high school bs to judge you on. You will be just fine, I promise.
