don’t bother rushing if you have a low GPA

i know this sounds super harsh, but I went into rush with a 3.2 GPA from high school and was cut from every house after the first round. it’s easier to not get your hopes up than to go into houses, talk to people, and start picturing yourself there just to get cut.

if you don’t have atleast a 3.5 don’t even rush

Isn’t the requirement a 3.0? Why say that when it’s obviously not the case

I got in a sorority with a 3.0. My roommate on the other hand got cut from every house after the first round and she had a 3.2.The grades may have had something to do with it, but there are other things they consider like personality and involvement. I would never discourage anyone to rush because of their grades. And if you think low grades may have contributed to a cut, work on getting involved on campus, get to know sorority girls, bring your grades up and try again next year.
