fraternity comments

what you want, rushing is all your opinion not someone else's.

the kid is doing the smart thing and some homework before rush. He doesn't want to be tricked into going into a fraternity that really sucks, but puts on a front for 3 days that they are the best on campus then finding out a week later the next four years of his life are going to suck.
Any respectable fraternity, does not bad mouth other fraternities during rush, so the PNM's (esp. from states far as MN that don't know single person coming LSU) can at least have a small insight on what to expect.
Stick to what "Try to go" said, I along with 90% of the rest of the greek community would agree with that statement.

get a little too butt hurt and serious over this site hahah no one cares, its only KAs and Kappa Sigs that hope on this site anyway posing as New members and girls and ect..so pathetic

LSU and get the real info on who is on probation and WHY before you pledge. That will give you a heads up on WHO Might Haze and WHO can not have parties.Be smart and if you have reservations about a group Pledge another group.

You make a very good point, but when looking back at it I would rather be in a good fraternity with one year probation than a bad one for four years. The truth is LSU greek life probably has 12 decent fraternities. 2 elite ones, 8 good ones, and 2 others that arent bad and are full of great guys, just maybe not the top choices. Again just my opionion which doesnt matter at all, just could help some PNM.

Elite: Sigma Chi/KA(both have tons of money and over 100 members)
Good:Kappa Sig,SAE,Pi kapp,Sig Ep,Theta xi,DKE,Acacia,Sigma Nu (all these fraternties mostly have good guys but some rotten apples. Their actives vary with DKE having like 50 and sig ep with 180)
Average:Figi,Phi delt (people love to rip on phi delt but they are good guys. Both have crapy houses which is why they are just average.)
PLEASE DO NOT RUSH: PHI PSI, DELTA CHI, PIKE, OR TKE. (truly are bottom tier and they will try to trick you during rush. Dont fall for it)

i would rather be in a good fraternity with 1 year probation than a terrible on for 4 years. PNM just join one of these
Sigma Chi
KA
SAE
Kappa Sig
DKE
Acacia
Theta Xi
Sigma Nu
Sig Ep
(all of these have over or about 100 decent actives. During Rush your gonna hear Sigma Chi or KA is the best. Seriously though just go in with an open mind and join where you feel most comfortable)
O and dont join Phi Psi, Tke, DELTA CHI, OR pike. They trick kids all the time on thinking there good but all of them suck.

Kappa Sig is the most fun, but Sigma Chi is the best all around. Although Kappa Sig is fun, KA is the only other fraternity with close to as much alumni support as Sigma Chi recently.

Also just got the worst fall pledge class known to man. Everyone knows it too.

why do you know so much about another fraternity's pledge class? I don't know anything or care about kappa sig's fall pledge class. Please enlighten us on why they were the worst pledge class known to man.
