fraternity comments

what can yall tell me about the Theta Chi guys? i noticed they werent on here but i heard they're starting a chapter at LSU

Theta Chi is attempting to start a chapter at LSU but they went about the process in the wrong way, stepping on a lot of toes in Greek Life and IFC. Because of this, when they came to IFC for permission to join, they were denied.

Personally, I admire what these guys are trying to do, since every fraternity at LSU at one point had to go through the same process, but in my own opinion, I think there are way too many fraternities already. This past year, when FIJI came back, that made 19 IFC fraternities, well 20 if you count Phiota, the Latino fraternity.

I realize that this group has their own ambitions and is not trying to take away from what the rest of the IFC organizations have to offer, but in terms of fraternity/sorority ratio, we're already sitting at a 2/1. That puts each sorority in HIGH demand for exchanges and social functions in the first few weeks of school. Not only this, but it's also downsizing the number of guys each chapter takes collectively, subsequently leading to lesser social budgets, etc.

My point is, each and every fraternity at LSU has something different to offer. If you don't like what they're all about, then a fraternity at LSU just isn't for you.

that the top sections will generally stay in the same order and the ones with arrows may change each year depending on the pledge class

from a girls standpoint, AGREED. There's a lot of good ones. It's annoying that every guy thinks that his fraternity is the only one that matters. Seriously yall there are 20.

People need to understand that they really will love and have fun in any fraternity they join... except tke of course but then who really counts them anyway.

This website is pretty much all self rating and bs... Go through rush and find where you belong, there is no overall best fraternity and as long as your not in sammy or tke its what ever
