spring rush 2014

i dropped out of formal recruitment this fall and I plan on rerushing in the spring. I don't mind the sororities who are planning on recruiting except for theta. How many girls do they usually take in? I'm a freshman and I know a few girls in each sorority. How can i increase my chances on getting in?

is to get to know sorority members in your dorm and in your classes. Join some clubs on campus-it is a plus if the club includes sorority members. Be nice to all the sorority members (well, everyone really) that you meet, whether they will be rushing in the spring or not. We are all friends with one another,and if a girl is rude or gets out of control at a party, word gets around.

do not listen to whoever is saying don't judge theta. honestly, it's pretty black and white: theta is the worst and usually everyone's last resort.

Once you drop, and sororities have already seen you they don't really look at you again. Sorry, but if Greek life was that important to you, you would of kept a positive attitude about theta. Get your priorities straight.

And seriously one of the sweetest, cutest girls at my high school went Theta. She is a sweetheart and everyone adores her. Too bad you won't have the chance to know her.

You shouldn't use knowing a few girls in each sorority as your ticket in. The best advice is to be yourself. Give Theta a chance, you might be surprised. I went into rush with all the negative things that each sorority was "known" for in mind but I ended up in a sorority that was best fitting for me even though I had thought negatively of it once before. Don't just join a sorority that all your friends are in or join a sorority that is specifically not theta. Join one that you can really see yourself fitting in to!
