read this before rush

This isn't really accurate. I agree with the fact that, yes, all sororities have fun socials and philanthropy events BUT rush is set up the way it is for a reason. Every house has a slightly different personality. The girls in Chi Omega are there and not in Kappa Kappa Gamma or Alpha Phi for a reason. It's because the actives in the house enjoyed speaking with them and could see them fitting in rather than the girls who they let go to different houses. This applies for every house and not just the ones specifically mentioned. Take rush seriously. Unlike this post implies, if you get in a sorority where you are really meant to be those girls will be your best friends and not just a subset of girls you barely hang out with.

As a senior, I can honestly say that if you are someone that is the sorority "type," you will find friends in any sorority (I have friends all down the row)! However, you might find a larger group of friends in one sorority over another. Just know that if sorority life is right for you and you make an effort to be active in your sorority (even if you get your second choice), you WILL make friends!
