rush week concerns
by: nolag504I’m going to be rushing pretty soon and I’m really worried about not getting a bid. I wouldn’t mind getting into a ‘lower rank’ I just am worried about not being invited to any of them. I’m pretty smart, do volunteer work, do a sport, i’m in 2 christian youth clubs, but I’m not a legacy anywhere. I don’t wanna rush if i’m not gonna be able to get into any houses

I would try it out but just know that you will find your place at LSU even if you decide sorority life isn't for you! There are so many clubs and ways to get involved on campus that there really is a place for everyone. If you think you would like being in a sorority, I say definitely try rush out, and hopefully, everything will work out!

Honestly resume stuff gives just some basic info about you so houses can make sure you talk to girls who are similar to you/have the same interest as you/may be from your hometown. Beyond that though—be yourself during rush/don’t think you have to be a certain way to be invited back, and actually invest in each conversation you have. The rounds go by quick, but again investing in the conversations will help you see which houses you connect to the best.
