untold costs of pledging a sorority!
by: Former PNM
If you are not worried about the cost of dues, then don't pay attention to this. During rush you are not made aware of the major costs associated with pledging a particular sorority. Be aware that new things mean higher dues. This includes newer houses still being paid on, recent renovations, and even major social events. Dues can range from the lower thousands, think 2 or 3, to upwards of 5 to 6 thousand a year. Just thought this could be helpful to PNMs who may not be able to spend as much as others but still want to be involved in a sorority.
This is not an uninformed post, so please don't comment saying the things said are false. I'm trying to be completely transparent for PNMs who really need this information.

This is very true. Some groups are very honest when they state their costs in the PNM booklet and they suffer because they look on the higher side of costs, but in reality, they include all the costs and what is on paper is really what you will pay except for optional things that you don't have to buy.
