invitation to spring recruitment

Does an invitation to spring recruitment mean they are actually considering you? Or is it just a formality like how everyone gets to participate in the first round of fall rush?

If youve signed up through PHC then they have to invite you even if they don't like you. (they could still want you though) If a friend told you about an event and they invite you back, they prob want you

that’s weird cause I did sign up through PHC but only got invited to events from one sorority while I have friends who already got invited to events from all of the four. So I thought at the very least they did a grade check or something before sending out invites. It doesn’t matter because I don’t want to go to events for a sorority that’s not interested in me, but i find it confusing how it works.
