how to rush

Listen girls- from the view of someone in a sorority and with friends and all of the others sororities the real way to rush and end up somewhere that makes you happy is to go through each house with an open mind and heart and pick the place that you feel most comfortable at. Honestly, if a sorority refers to themselves as "Top Tier" then generally the atmosphere and vibe of that sorority is snobby and stuck up. BUT forget what you have heard about each one and base your opinions off of the experience you have in each house. That is the best way to find where you belong.. ALSO a lot of nicknames mean absolutely nothing and are picked based off the fact they rhyme- ez dz, deltagrandmaws, pi high, phi mooo, chi hoe, etc... Lastly- letters of rec are vital to your role in rushing! Get one for EVERY house to guarantee your invite back! Enjoy your time rushing ladies! Just don't forget to be open minded and find where you belong! These are the years you're suppose to find your life long friends! Pick the sorority where you see yourself and feel free to be who ever you are! Much love- a sorority SISTER

couldn't agree more! especially about being open minded! everyone loves phi mu and Delta gamma but on these websites they get all the slack! theyre not the type to get on here and defend themselves but they are filled with great girls that are accepting, kind hearted, and fun. Pick the house that makes you feel like you are a million bucks! seriously though- when going through rush imagine yourself having a bad day and then pick the house where you see yourself feeling comfortable enough to cry. Someone told me when I was rushing to pick the house I feel like I could go to and lay on the couch and watch TV and not feel weird about it (sounds silly but it works like a charm!) good luck everyone!
