fraternity rushing from los angeles

Greetings:
Im rushing this fall but have concerns about my West Coast roots. Both mom and dad are greek, but attended upper-midwest schools. I have absolutely NO connections with fraternities at LSU, but want to be sure that I do everything right. Does anyone have any suggestions for a guy like me ? any suggestions on houses that are a little more out of state friendly, or do out of state guys get just as fair a shake as anyone else? thanks !

I wouldn't worry about this stuff. Alot of people rush out of state and are just fine. Go in with an open mind.

There are fraternities that have no issue taking west coast kids, there fraternities that only take kids with roots in the south, and there are fraternities that only take kids with Louisiana roots. Your options will be limited coming from the west coast, but you won't be completely over looked.

The main fraternities that take northern or Cali kids are Fiji, Pike, Phi Psi and Theta Xi

I know this guy...he isn't even from Los Angeles. The kid grew up way out in Upland and he's trying to pass himself off as a "LOS ANGELES GUY" He's an embarrassment to the entire Western U.S.
