I'm a legacy and I'm rushing this fall. I already have 2 recs for my moms sorority, not including her. Would it be smart for her to write me a letter of support or just do the traditional RIF?

Also-- does who wrote your recommendation matter?? I .E if one was VP back in the day of her sorority and is now a successful doctor?? Or something like that? just wondering

I don't think you need a letter of support as you are already a legacy. You should be fine with what you have:)

You should be fine without your mom's letter!! Also, it matters to a certain extent. As in, if someone from the head office of the sorority would right one then it looks better if a previous member wrote it, but a letter of rec is a letter of rec no matter who it comes from.

It would be very smart for your mom to fill out her sorority's Legacy Form and send that in to the chapter. Otherwise your legacy status is not verified.
