financial situation

I’ve heard that LSU sororities are very pricey, ranging from ($900-1400) per semester. Coming from a middle class family + paying for college expenses, this concerns me because I don’t know if I could afford this but it’s always been a dream of mine to be in one. Are they really this expensive and if so, do any sororities offer financial assistance/plan? My roommate is also rushing and I’m worried I won’t have a good experience at a large university that’s majority Greek Life if I’m not involved.

If you have to ask price you cann't afford it! Seriously, most of the girls in it can not afford it. Geeks have turned into a bunch of phony wannabees at LSU. There are more blue collar dad's then professions .

Its more like 2k - 2500 a semester, or more depending on the sorority. Some offfer payment plans but like it has to be an extreme circumstance... like your dad just lost his job or something

Some sororities will offer payment plans to split it up throughout the semester, it definitely helps. Also some will off scholarships (typically offered after your first year). I have a job and pay for it myself on top of my school stuff, so its totally doable!!

the first two semesters are usually the most expensive — 2K + but after they tend to lower after not being a new member.
