not feeling it

by: Disappointed

As a NM I'm just not feeling the sisterhood/closeness I thought I would. I don't know if it's because of the supension, but here we are already pasted midway thru the first semester and I feel alone and haven't even connected with anyone I would feel excited to be a little to. Am I the only one feeling this way?

It's definitely because of the suspension. With no meetings or sisterhood events, I totally understand how you could be feeling that way. It'll get better, I promise. Just please hang in there. It will be worth it:)

It's not the suspension. My over sized supposedly ranked # 1 or 2 is not living up to the hype. The so called sisterhood works if you came in with a already made posse, but trying to break into the cliques is so hard/ really impossible. These girls were more friendly at recruitment than on a daily basis.

I am finding this is more like middle school, than high school or college. I am giving it another couple of weeks but I see myself as walking out the door.

There are times when I am by myself at the house and nobody speaks to any of the pledges. The pledge class seems ok but word is spreading many of us are feeling this way. I am feeling more warmth from those girls at the other end of the row like Phi Mu, Delta Zeta/Gamma, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and so on.

Right now I am looking for other places on campus to connect. You are now alone.

If you're talking about Chi o, all there are are cliques. Suspension or not, there's no sisterhood.

not everyone finds their group of friends immediately, it took me over a year to find my place in my sorority.

It's been 4 years and I stayed because the sisterhood was for life and the connections were suppose to be the best. Stuck it out but no happier today then when I pledged. If you stay keep your feelings to yourself, your head down and the self absorbed members won't even notice. I am headed away from Louisiana hopefully the alumni group where I'm headed will be better.

I’m honestly so glad I’m not the only one who feels this way
