informal rush 2018
by: .I'm so happy for all the girls who just got bids this past weekend, they all look so happy and like they found their place at LSU! However, I was not able to rush in the fall due to a family issue and was wondering how the process for the Spring recruitment worked (would I still need bids for every sorority) and if being a legacy matters as much? Also, I saw that sororities were taking fewer girls this year compared to previous years and if that would affect spring at all. Thank you in advance!

Spring rush all depends on what happens this semester and what some sororities nationals require of them. So if one chapter has a lot of girls drop this semester, they'll participate in spring rush. If a chapter wants more girls in general, they will spring rush. It all just depends! Unfortunately, none of the top houses do spring rush (at least in the past few years they haven't, but you never know what one chapter's nationals will require of them! But I wouldn't expect any of the top 5 to participate in it. Being a legacy matters the same amount that it will matter in the fall-- it is always important. Hope this helps!
