i want out

I am sad at the fact that i made the wrong decision during rush and am very unhappy in my new sorority. There is no way that i could see myself spending 4 years in this chapter...the girls are truly strange and low class. Not at all what was portrayed during rush :/ how do i get out and into a different sorority as fast as possible?

Which sorority? You can always talk to the president and membership director to see what they have to say about the matter. After that, it's up to you to drop

After pref,when you listed your choices, you agreed to join whatever group you got a bid from. It is a contract and you cannot rush again for one year. It sounds like you're bitter because you didn't get your first choice. Instead, you need to grow up and figure out how to make the best of your situation. With such large chapters, I find it difficult to believe that there is NOBODY that you have anything in common with!

Definitely drop if you're truly unhappy. If you give it a chance and decide it's definitely not you're home, no one should force you to stay

No sorority at LSU is "low class" and if you can't see that you don't deserve to be apart of this system. There's plenty of girls who got dropped who would be begging to be in your shoes. My advice: humble yourself, grow a pair and quit or just get to know them.

If you really think you will be unhappy, I would drop. I stayed the entire year in the sorority I got a bid from last year, went through imitation, kept trying to like it and ended up in a worse position than I started.

Drop and go through rush next year. Forget the contract thing this is a social group not a business group. All this talk about contracts is crazy girls drop all the time from all sororities even the so called top tier.

The bid card is a binding contract to the panhellenic chapters at LSU. If she drops she cannot pledge another National Panhellenic Chapter at LSU until August 2018. If she leaves LSU she could pledge a group at another university.

Please read the Greek Tiger, it explains the process. Yes, these are social groups but they are also small businesses.
