do i have a shot at getting a bid?

I have a 4.0+ GPA, great ACT score, leadership experience, variety of volunteer work, religious background, and many other attributes. It seems like I tick all of the marks, however, there is not a line of Greek women in my family. My sister is the first girl to be in a sorority in my family, and she is attending school at a different college. The reason I am worried about going through formal recruitment is that I feel as if I don't have an established relationship with any of the sororities. I am going into this without any connections besides some girls I barely know from high school.
Guess I'm just wondering if having a lineage of Greek Life in your family is a big determining factor in sororities giving you a bid.

for some of the sororities yes, but also no at the same time. sororitys love to steal legacies from other sororities. some are required to take all legacies and there are others that will drop a legacy so fast they won't know what hit them. personally, the only greek relation I had was through one aunt (which isn't considered legacy), and I got a bid so you'll be fine
