Recs let the sorority know what kind of association you already had with the sorority and they can hear from members about the person you are. its OKAY to have one but they really really want you to have two or more if you can get that many

Some sororities have national rules that require the chapter to have a rec for each new member before she can be pledged. Just get your recs!
