that's only because of the new house they have to pay off, otherwise they wouldn't be so expensive

Theta has the least expensive dues, being around $700 a semester after the initial one time fees. and I think Chi O and ADPi have dues well over $2100 a semester. if I remember correctly, on the greek life website there should be a pdf that goes over all fees for every sorority

No! Everyone goes through hardships sometimes, people understand. and I think for most sororities you don't "quit", you just go inactive and then when you're financially stable again you can become active again

I had a friend who got a bid from adpi and she told me it was like $2600 a semester.

Adpi's dues are around $2200 for the first semester and $1800 for the following semesters I believe. They are well within the normal range of dues.
