The number of members does say a lot about the retention rate which in turn says something about the sisterhood and how much the members love their chapter. and don't try to bring up that some of the smaller groups lose women to nursing school because ALL chapters lose women to nursing school and ALL chapters have women who leave LSU for different reasons. All these groups bring in basically the same number of women each year during recruitment (quota additions allow for some variation in number of new members but the difference isn't usually more than ten between chapters). Some chapters do a better job of keeping their members for many reasons. I wouldn't say that the rankings are the same as the number of members, but I do think it is a sign of the strength of a chapter and I appreciate whoever posted the statistics.
