tips for fall recruitment for a sophomore

I went through formal recruitment in the fall. I had RIFs and letters of support for every house. I ended up dropping because I had three houses left on pref night and I didn't feel at home and connected with those chapters. I'm really glad I didn't actually accept a bid because I know what houses I would actually fit in with after spending a year here. All my friends are Greek and I just see a few chapters that are a really good fit. Can someone (preferably someone who has lots of experience in rush week) give me some tips on how to stand out next fall? Thanks in advance!
