those who went through rush
by: SororityCuriousI would love to know from those who rushed this fall which sororities did the best job and where the most desired by the PNM's. If you have an opinion on who seemed to get the best girls that is fine too( based on your experience). No bashing or rude comments please. It seemed all the sororities did well this year and most girls got bids?

Best: gamma phi, pi phi, zeta, theta. I heard girls saying these were their tops almost nonstop, and they were definitely the easiest to talk to and houses that you were happy to see on your schedule.
Middle: kappa, alpha chi, sk, dg. Honestly such sweet girls, but they came off a little odd. You could tell whether or not you'd fit into the house by round two.
Bottom: ddd, adpi, aopi. The girls who ended up going back to aopi every day were beyond pissed. Adpi girls were really nice, just a little...off. Tri del girls basically wanted nothing to do with you unless you're a cheerleader, dancer, or blonde and loaded.
Worst house: chi o. By far the rudest, most arrogant house. They dropped so many great girls because they think they're better than everyone, and that attitude shown through because now they're doing snap bids to try to fill their quota.

I ended up dropping out of the process on bid day but the whole process is kinda Jenk. But I loved DG, phi pi, gamma phi, sigma kappa and axo. I really loved zeta and tri delt (my top two choices for pref day) but then ended up cutting me. Tri delt gave me the completly wrong impression bc the president came and talked to me, I talked to an events coordinator, and they said they heard so much about me.. All good things right? Then they dropped me on pref day which was devastating. Idk I was disappointed and for zeta on skit day it felt like my person didn't really care like everything I said went over her head which is sad because I made such good connections with girls from the previous day's. I thought chi o also talked to me like they weren't that interested which kinda sucks. I think adpi and aopi were nice but tried a little too hard. I was generally disappointed in the process because I had no idea it was taboo to mention you know other girls in sororities at tcu but being from the Midwest I would have never known that unfortunately that stopped my chances at pi phi and DG and was the make or break part of my rushin experience.

I had a different experience than many I read here. I LOVED Chi O, Gamma Phi, and Pi Phi. They were all different but I felt so at home in all three of them. Don't pay attention to the mean stuff that people said about Chi O. They are a darling sorority and I have tons of friends in that house.

Personally, I really liked DG, axo, gamma phi, and sigma kappa- they all seem genuinely interested in what I had to say and seemed excited about all the pnms.
Theta was nice but kinda condescending and talked to me like I was a little kid (???)
Chi O was obvious about who they wanted and didn't want.
I had tri delt for a few days and almost every girl I talked to seemed bored or wouldn't even look at me.

Contact, friends, meeting the president, etc. doesn't mean "it's a done deal." Even if some of the girls love you, other girls are loving different pnms and you might not rate highly enough on the list to get an invite the next day or a bid. It doesn't mean that they hated you, it just means that more girls like someone better. So be glad with what you get and go into every house imagining yourself in that house. Don't think any house is for losers because that might be the house that loves you for who you are after other have dropped you. So keep your heart open and realize that the tiers you see on here are mostly written by people who graduated from here many years ago and have nothing better to do. The sorority that ranks the lowest here might be the house you fall in love with. Don;t drop them because of rumor and innuendo. All our greeks are friends and being in ANY house is 100% more fun than being independent.

I could not have put together a better representation of recruitment this year. You are correct on every point.
