which fraternity should i pick or should i even ru

So, I'm a sophomore and I have thought about joining a fraternity. I missed out on fall rush last year and I'm participating in formal rush this fall. I'm not too much of your stereotypical "party animal" but I know how to have a good time, even while sober. So, first off, how much does the Greek life here relate to the "Animal House" scene? Second, is it a "requirement" to be a drinker? And lastly, how do most fraternities feel about sophomores rushing? I'm not trying to be rude or hurt the reputation of Greek life and fraternities, I'm just curious.
