fraternities available
by: JskI am seeing many posts saying "many strong houses will still be available during formal rush" but nobody has really said what those houses will be.. What houses will be available?

With the possible exceptions of Phi Del and SAE all houses will likely have spots available during formal recruitment. Lambda and Phi Kapp are popular party fraternities, Sig Ep, Pi Kapp and Beta win lots of greek awards and are more academic and all the rest have good guys in them. You will find a group you feel a connection with.

Nonsense? SAE got a great pledge class last year. The only reason they are small is because they are more exclusive. Clearly you don't know the SAEs.

I think there is even more disagreement about what fraternities are good than with sororities. SAE and Phi Delt like to play up how they give all their bids out during the summer to connected guys but once school starts you do not see much from them. SAE is the smallest house... You have to go where you feel wanted and connected and keep the whole summer bid out of the equation. Read the ranking below comments and you will see people have strong differing thoughts on what houses are best. Your top house will not be everyone's top house. It is all about what you are looking for and where you connect.

Go where you want to belong and stop worrying about Phi Delt and SAE talking themselves up.

What is with this SAE nonsense, they have been getting terrible pledge classes every year, i guarantee you they will do formal rush unless they take another pledge class less than half the size of the rest. They have been taking kids from anywhere they can get them. The new sig ep, give bids to everyone and hope someone accepts
