sorority rush out of state
by: OOSWould you say its a lot harder to get a bid if you're from the northeast? I have nearly all of my rec letters, but they're not from people I know personally.

This is more of a problem for fraternity bids because they do bid during the summer. Recruitment does not start until recruitment day here. You also will find more than half the girls are from out of state so they arrive knowing no one. Chi O, DDD and KKG have the reputation of preferring Texas girls yet they all have out of state members. All the other houses do not even promote this. Good luck and am sure you will get a bid!

Chi O is the only group that contacts members before recruitment ( which is against recruitment rules) so otherwise you will be on equal footing as every other girl. TCU is not a normal private Texas school. It's enrollment is over half out of state students as it has grown and joined the Big 12.

This is true but even though houses have quite a few out of state members. TCU is too national of a campus for being from somewhere other than Texas hold you back.
