performing arts

by: Newbie

I will be coming to TCU in the fall as a performing arts major. I realize all majors have their challenges but this major requires a lot of out of class rehearsal time even during the evening. Is there a chapter that welcomes us more than others? I am excited to formally become a TCU frog soon.

Being a theater arts major does take a lot of time. I would be prepared to miss a lot with sorority, and not run for any offices.

This is true so some groups are not as in to theatre or any performance major as others. Just have a open mind and see where things lead.

I agree with both of the post above. I also know a bunch of theatre majors that are Sigma Kappa too.

Every house has some performing arts majors and they do miss a lot. Theta loves them because they keep the GPA up. Just be yourself and see were you are wanted. Welcome to TCU.

Like others have said there a lot of Theta and Sgma Kappa girls. No house has a lock on any major though so just go where you feel comfortable.

There are performance majors in every house. Since this major does take a lot of time, a number of them join the professional groups and not bother with going greek.

It is Theta, Sigma Kappa, and AoPI that have the most theater majors.
