hi! so i'm from the north and I'm super nervous about rush mostly because all the girls i see who rush in the south are always so gorgeous and skinny, and...well, i'm not. do looks play a huge part in rush? i'm not trying to be in some huge party sorority, just one with a lot of sisterhood.

I'm not going to lie. Looks are very important and if you're a bigger girl, especially without connections, it will severely limit your choices. Go into recruitment with an open mind and heart and show us your very best self and you should find a home.

I couldn't have put it better. Do try, be your personal best and be open to all our houses and you should find a home of accepting sisters but it will be more challenging. It may not be fair but I want to encourage you while being truthful.

Keep an open mind about all the houses (not just top ones, etc.) And make sure the clothes you wear flatter your body and don't emphasize your faults. Looking put together is the important thing.

Looks do play a part in selection and the girls here are beautiful but remember it is only a portion of the decisions. You can be beautiful and be awkward or rude and not get asked back. Have faith in your attitributes.

If you are a big girl with no connections or bunches of cash you can still find a house but it will no be as likely to be a top house. Nevertheless go for it because your size should not keep you from this experience.
