random tips

by:

Hello girls! With recruitment so close I think it is good to start a thread designated for random (but useful) tips. All of us are so excited to meet you and I know most of us are willing to help you make the process a lot easier. So here goes nothing.

My random tip to you: oil absorbing sheets WILL save your life!! Buy them at home before you head to TCU bc our local target runs out so very fast!

Apparently you haven't gone through recruitment while its 100 degrees and your face is super oily. The original poster is obviously trying to be helpful. Unlike you, bye.

Why are people here so mean? I just asked how. I didn't know what they were talking about. Of course I haven't gone through recruitment, that is why I asked. You make me scared to go through recruitment. If I ask a simple question, I'm going to get someone life you jumping down my throat. Maybe sorority girls are rude.Having second thoughts about all this.

I truly apologize. I just thought YOU were being rude about it. No we are not rude (most of us) but people on here tend to be so mean you just never know. Sorry :)

^^^ anyway.
I think this is a super good idea so my tip is drink all of the yummy water that we will give you!! Staying hydrated is so important. Every year we have girls get super dehydrated which totally sucks.

Some people here are mean because they are vapid and their biggest "life saving tip" is oil absorbers. Not everyone here is that way.

So if I have a bunch of money I should buy a bunch of oil pads instead of a defibrillator. Got it.

Read the "What to bring on your bag" question and answer thread because there are tons of items to keep you more comfortable and help you feel your best. The heat is brutal in TX in Aug so water to stay hydrated, a hand held fan to help when waiting in line and absorbant sheets to freshen are all honest tips. I will bump up the what to bring thread-please read it PNMS. We ARE excited to meet you and 85% of people who post on here are in sincere in their advice.

I understand that some people are shy but please try your best to be talkative and give us something to work with. If having a conversation with you is like having to pull teeth then you will be dropped because it will seem like you are not interested. We are trained to try and keep a good conversation going but we can only do so much

Bring a little makeup bag with emergency pads/tampons and ibuprofen. Even if you won't need it there will be probably someone else who will thank you for it!
