sorority transcripts

How much do sororities pay attention to transcripts during rush?

During my senior year, I had a medical problem that made a lot of my grades go down, I was wondering if that would really affect my chances of getting into some of the houses?
What is the average GPA houses like to see?
Thanks!

Make sure to let your recommendation writer know about your medical condition so she can include it in your rec. it might give you a second look, otherwise we would generally just look at your GPA and that would be it. Above a 3.0 should keep you safe but you won't be competitive (assuming you're not a legacy) unless you're in the 3.5 and up range.

I thought they don't see our transcripts. I heard we can write whatever we want.

When you register for recruitment with Panhellenic, it should ask what your GPA was. They don't see transcripts though, just what you end up with.

I feel like some of these answers are trolls. There is no way all the sororities will not be provided with your REAL GPA so lying is a great way to get cut from the beginning. Anyway, how did you get into TCU if your GPA was so bad...this entire thread sound suspect...

Reality. Loads of people get in to TCU with lower GPAs. This isn't Harvard honey.

It's definitely not Harvard, but it's not like there's a big GPA variation like at easy admission schools. those schools get freshmen PNMs with GPAs from the low 2.0s through above 4.0s for AP people.
