greek construction

Does anyone know the plan for construction of the new Greek for the summer? Will they start building any new houses or knock down any? I know it's not supposed to be complete until the next year but am curious what to expect when living there next year.

Aren't they demolishing the old Freshman dorm and beginning construction on the new houses starting there? I'm not sure if that's right but that's what I think I heard.

First, they are tearing down Brachman.

Then they will build a new parking garage on/near that spot, because people have to park somewhere.

Once the new parking garage is finished they will start building the new houses in phases. Some of those houses will be located in what is now the center parking lot since it will no longer be needed for parking.

As groups move to their new houses, their old houses will be torn down. This creates space for more new houses.

No current houses will be torn down until the new house that chapter is moving into is complete. In other words, no fraternity or sorority will ever be without a house.

This will not all happen in one year. Expect several years to go by before the entire new Greek is complete.

Do not listen to rumors about who will get the first house.
