pi kapp or lambda chi
by: Transfer studentI'll be transferring to TCU next semester and will be a sophomore... I know a few people in lambda chi and pi kapp. What would be my chances of getting a bid from those houses? I played baseball basketball and football in high school and have a 3.5 gpa in college. I'm also coming from the university of arkansas

lambda and pi kapp are two big houses on campus. honestly from what I've seen the two are pretty opposite though. lambdas are the hot shot football guys who like to get drunk with each other on the weekday and hook up with girls on the weekends. if you drink with them you'll get a bid, no too hard. pi kapp on the other hand does a dry rush. they care more about brother hood than how high your alc tolerance is. really solid nice guys. that being said, once rush is over, pi kapp throws amazing parties and holds lots of events. both groups are good, lambda just parties a little harder and pi kapp is a little more down to earth. in terms of getting bids, like i said lambda is looking for you to party with them but they'll like your athleticism a lot. pi kapp will also like your athleticism since hteyre so involved but they'll be looking more for if you would be a loyal brother.

Neither group is exceptionally better than the other but just as the first response stated, they are quite opposite on their membership and goals. Know what you are looking for and choose accordingly.

This is my thought too. It isn't that one is great and one sucs it is about personal style.

Pi kapp overall is not awkward. You'll find some more awkward nerdy guys in pi kapp and you'll find some huge wannabe dbags in lamdba, but a good group of guys in both. You'll see some awkward guys, some dbags, etc in any frat you choose

Pi Kapp has some of the smartest and highest achieving guys on campus. Lambda has boys they peaked in high school playing games. It's all up to what a person wants. Neither is wrong but you won't likely feel at "home" in both. They are exact opposites.

Both groups are good in totally different ways. Visit with them and you will know what is right for you.

These are both decent groups but very different so no doubt you will flow best with one over the other once you connect with them

Word of advise avoid Pi kapp - unless you are super nerdy and awkward.
then you will fit right in .....not a good rep on campus.
