don't believe everything you read
by: Attn PNMs:Girls who are using this to try to feel the "true personality" of houses, stop right here. This is what recruitment is for. You could read great things about a "top tier" house and then decide it definitely isn't for you, or vice versa. EVERYONE thinks their house is top tier. And some sororities frequent this website more than others. Quite frankly, all of this is BS. If you have questions about what to wear or say during rush, then this is a great tool for you. But don't use this as a tool to help you decide "i want this house because it's better than this house." The only way you'll get a feel for what house you truly belong in is by going through the recruitment process. Most of the stereotypes on this website are 5 years old, anyway. Just save yourself.

Personal story: before rush some friends told me this was an awesome website that could give you a big advantage. So I went through recruitment "knowing" which houses I belonged in and that really hurt me in the process. What really shocked me was that I went to the "low tier" houses and actually felt very welcomed and everyone was so nice but I let my biased attitude get to me and said to myself it wasn't for me. When I went to the "top tier" houses I sometimes felt judged and just not at home but I told myself I was better off with a top house. It was a huge mistake because by the end of the week I had none of the houses I felt good about and a few of the top tier. And every time I went back I felt like I had to be someone I wasn't. I ended up dropping out. I waited until spring and was so happy when my favorite house was holding spring Rush and now I am finally where I belong. Please don't make the same mistake. You will end up disappointed.
