top house?
by: CuriousHey y'all. I just committed to TCU and I'm from the south and I heard that there really is not a well defined top fraternity at TCU. Is this true? I had heard that phi delt here was the best house for southern boys but are they a great all around house? If not them then who are the top 3 houses? Thanks everyone!

I would say the top 3 are Phi Delt, Sig Chi, and Kappa Sig. I know that Kappa Sig has been falling a lot recently, but there really isn't anyone else close to being called a top fraternity.
Phi delt has a lot of "southerns" but still mostly from Texas, (a lot of san antonio and dallas).
Sig chi i think is mostly texas (austin, houston,etc).
Kappa sig has a good amount from DFW but has the most out of staters than the other two (tennesse, kansas, etc)
This being said, after reading your message I really really doubt any of them will take you.
Being from the south isn't going to guarantee you anything, the vast majority of the others rushees will be from the south as well.

You gave a really good specific answer and I agree that this kid may not get a bid there.
But....
I think its smart to put out there how bad kappa sig really is doing right now, they had a pledge class of 15. That is half of the average. A fair warning to people currently looking. Understand how bad they are doing right now.
