So true! Don't believe things you read on the internet or hear from guys. Every sorority has all kinds of girls and no sorority has one specific reputation! One girl or one rumor does not represent an entire sorority, that is why you go through formal recruitment! Stay away from this site, it's full of hateful and jealous nonsense. If you want to check out TCU Greek before recruitment, take a look at each chapter's website (links found on TCU Panhellenic website) and get excited for recruitment!

My GPA is kind of low, but nowhere near probation or anything. Will I be released from recruitment early and not get asked back? :/

You probably got here by google, looking for info. on TCU sororities. The good news, there's a list of them to your left. The bad news, very little of what you read is true, written by Greeks or even by current students. The MOST important factor determining what a sorority is like is the women CURRENTLY in the chapter. So for ex. if the party queens graduate & the study girls are left in charge the reputation swings. This is true in many chapters as not every pledge class is exactly like the one before it, as people change and grow as they go through college. Some years nothing much changes other years you are well, stunned at the transformation. I came here a few years ago to avoid getting the house that is the party house - I wanted friends to hang out with, not get over a hang over with. I was so confused, nothing on here seemed to match up, even the so called 'ranking'. I guess my personal ranking is based on MY values. The rush system worked for me!Let it work for you! Trust it.

are recommendations absolutely needed to go through recruitment?

some people have told me no, some people have told me you'll be cut by all the "top" houses if you don't have any. I guess it jsut depends on who you ask?
