why is kappa delta not at tcu?

actually KD is low at majority of schools so... TCU only has strong sororities.

Idk about reopening KD but since Phi Mu just colonized in 2016 it would be some time before that could happen. There was concern about PM because AOPI was just a few years old. Our population keeps growing so in a few years there is a real possibility of a new chapter. If you have a real interest, present your case to the Panhellinic council.

whoever keeps perpetuating the idea that KD is bottom at a ton of schools and that TCU only has strong sororities clearly has never travelled outside of Texas. It doesn't take a genius to understand that chapters of the same sorority are different at every school. The Ole Miss chapter of KD is going to be different from the ASU chapter, just like how the SK chapter here is different from the GW SK chapter, and no one looks at the Tri-Delt chapter here and expects them to close due to low numbers just because their UCLA chapter just did. . When/if TCU decides it's time to establish another chapter, it will likely give special consideration to previous chapters, but I hope that whatever new chapter decides to come is welcomed with open arms, not held to the expectation of completely unrelated chapters.

Kappa Delta is one of the original sororities at TCU. The chapter closed in 1993, but was reestablished in the fall of 2023. They had a stellar recruitment and have made many positive contributions to TCU and the Greek community during the 23-24 academic year. It was a joy to witness the chapter’s vibrancy on bid day and at initiation. Looking forward to the coming year as they confidently move forward on campus.

Seriously KD. Enough with trying so hard Pulling up a post from 2015 to try to say how great y’all are now? Read the thread. KD isn’t a great house at most schools, and that’s still true. Phi Mu colonized here years ago and is still bottom, just like you will be for years to come. What contributions have they made? Taking some of the girls that didn’t get bids numerous years during rush? It comes across as desperate.
