rushing overview
by: ....Does anyone want to give an overview of what the whole process of rushing for a sorority is like? I want to go to TCU next year and rush but I kind of want to learn more about the process... is there a possibility that you don't get a bid at all?

Things that are within your control as a PNM
1. Getting recs to every chapter on campus
2. Presenting a polished appearance
3. Having good conversation skills
4. Grades and leadership experience
5. Being friendly and polite to every sorority member in every chapter- even chapters that are not your initial favorites.
Things that are not within your control:
1. How many girls that you know in each house, and to what extent that matters
2. The value that each house places on legacy status
Therefore, focus on those elements in which you have total control and don't worry about the ones in which you don't.

This is another great post. It's a hard week for each girl no matter where you end up but it is well worth the effort no matter which house you join. Go Greek:)
