when will we learn about spring recruitment?

As a freshman who did not go through fall recruitment, what time of year should I start inquiring about spring recruitment. Is it bad to contact the houses directly?

Houses will begin to around Christmas when people graduate and transfer notice is given. Talk your greek girlfriends because chances are better than usual for the spring.

I don't think it is bad to email the recruitment chair, but I don't know how all the houses feel about it.

That's a tough question. It seems getting your information from the recruitment chair or membership VP shouldn't offend a house. It means your interested in them which should be a compliment.

I think your idea is an excellent one. What better way is there to let a house know you are interested in them and find out if they will hold spring recruitment.

Some houses already know if they will hold spring recruitment because they know who is graduating and those that dropped before initiation. Idk if they want to share that info yet though. Your greek friends are best to get a feel for their house and guide you on who to talk to and when.

You can begin to check in with recruitment chairs anytime now. They have an idea whether they will hold spring recruitment or not.

Houses should know about graduates now and some transfers too. It's the perfect time to reach out and inquire.

Definitely reach out to let houses know you are interested now. There will be more options than usual come this spring because of transfer rates so if your interested ask. The past is not necessarily an indication of options for this year.
