by: Regretful GDI

I'm a GDI and I'm starting to regret not rushing this semester... Is there spring rush here at TCU?

Yes, spring recruitment can be an excellent way to get I to good houses. Especially if a group has a lot of girls graduating they may hold spring rush to replenish their numbers. It is a much quieter process so ask around. It is probably too early to know which houses will do spring rush but keep in dialogue with your greek girlfriends.

Your choices will be limited and you need yo know some girls to get one of their few spots but I would highly recommend spring recruitment to anyone who regrets not joining in the fall.

This can be a great way to go greek if you didn't try in the fall. Yeah, choices are limited but it is so much less stressful. If you know someone who can get you in--just do it!

Historically which houses have done spring rush? I heard last year only AXO, ADPi, AOPi and a rumored PiPhi had spring rush. Can some older sorority woman please tell me who has done it? Thanks y'all!!!

Spring recruitment offers many opportunities for girls just like yourself. You need to talk to the Greeks you know because you can never know which house will hold spring rush. It is a quiet way to get into a top house that may have a lot of seniors leaving so good luck!

This is a perfect way to start your greek involvement. After Christmas break start checking around to learn who will hold spring rush

I would strong suggest having an open dialougue with your greek friends and letting them know your are interested in rushing their house(s) if they hold spring recruitment. A lot of schools do not recruit at all until spring and that makes sense. That gives new girls the time to meet different groups and have a feel for where that would best fit in. All girls that didn't go through fall recruitment should consider this as an options. The key is building relationships with current members so you know about spring rush.

Your choices are extremely limited but this is a way to join. You have to wonder why a house needs new members though. Just be sure to ask questions. You might do better to wait until next fall.

If you follow all the advice on this thread you should be Greek before the year ends.

I personally know a bunch of girls that got into solid houses this way. Keep talking to your Greek friends and good luck receiving an invite this spring.

If you missed on fall recruitment you should try to get one of the limited spaces during spring. Being GDI is not the way to go at TCU.

You miss out on so much if you are GDI so you certainly should go for spring recruitment.

If you regret not going Greek then talk to your Greek friends about spring recruitment for sure. You won't regret joining our Greek community.
